Pumpkin Pine Farm, a "salt box" style farm house, built sometime before 1840, sits on 21 acres with some footage along the Susquehanna River.  The B & B is named for the type of wood, "pumpkin pine", used in its construction. Pumpkin Pine Farm B & B actually was an operating farm for many years.

The atmosphere at Pumpkin Pine Farm is relaxed and friendly.  The house is furnished with many interesting pieces including antiques, dried herbs, doll houses, quilts and more.

A hearty country breakfast , which includes homemade breads, biscuits, jams and our own homemade maple syrup is served every morning. Tea and hot cocoa are always available. There's always some kind of baked goodie waiting for you when you arrive.

The Pine Side Suite has two bedrooms, a large sitting room, table for 4, electric fire place, and a private bath.  This suite is comfortable for one to four people.

The Barn Side Room is a very large cheery room, with a sitting area, electric fire place , table for two and a private bath.

Both areas are air conditioned and have a television and VCR.  Movies and books are available for lending.  A refrigerator and microwave are also available.

We recently added an outdoor hot tub which is available to our adult guests.

Many local attractions and places of interest are within a 30-minute drive.  They include nature and recreational parks, a winery, canoe rentals, antique shopping, carousels, tennis, swimming, golfing, museums, theaters and much more.  Binghamton University and Broome Community College are also within this distance. Hartwick College and the State University of New York, College at Oneonta in Oneonta, NY are also a short drive away.

Pumpkin Pine Farm is also blessed to be located within the range of a comfortable day trip from a number of exciting world class attractions.

While visiting, enjoy a campfire at night, walk the woodland trails, or sit near a garden during the day.  If there is snow bring your cross-country skis ... or just escape with a good book in a comfy chair.
